50's Sock Hop - Cupid Style
Pink Valentine's Day Bunny50's Sock Hop--Cupid Style. 
In order to help raise money for Relay for Life, we are hosting a sock hop dance on Friday, February 12th.  Students are to raise money to help find a cure for cancer.  The boy and girl that has the highest raised amount, per GRADE level, will be featured at our Sock Hop as the king or queen of the sock hop!!  There will be a special gift that they will receive at the Sock Hop.  Please encourage your child to help raise money and participate for this wonderful cause.   We are also encouraging students to dress up in the 50s style clothing!  There will be lots of pictures, food, music, and fun! 
 
The sock hop will be held in the Marcia O'Brian fieldhouse.  Times for kindergarten through second grade will be from 5:00 pm until 6:30pm.  Times for third through fifth grades will be from 6:30pm-8:00pm.  More information will be coming home with your child soon! 
Relay for Life T-Shirt Sale
Relay for Life LogoWe are selling Relay for Life shirts until March 23rd.  The short sleeve price is $15 and long sleeve is $20.  If you are interested in ordering, please read the information below and submit money (cash only please!!!) and order forms in an envelope marked "Relay for Life T-Shirt Orders".  
 
Team Captain, Toni Antley, will be placing the orders every Wednesday (starting this Wed., Feb 10). Shirts will be available for pick up 2 weeks from the order date (unless otherwise instructed). Any shirt orders received after 3pm on a Tuesday will be placed in the next Wednesday's shirt order.

2nd Quarter Awards Ceremony
The 2nd Quarter Awards Ceremony was held on January 29th. Several awards were given out, including Honor Roll, All A Honor Roll, Music, PE, Art, PTA Reflections Contest and the new BUG (Bringing Up Grades) Award.

If your child is less than 10 years old, it is time for their second H1N1 shot so they can have full protection. If your child did not receive the first shot, you can take this opportunity to get him or her protected from this new flu virus. You can also make an appointment for anyone in your family. Special dates and times have been set aside for families in the Dorchester School District Two.

CD, 4K, K & 1 registration for 2010-2011
Registration for all 4K/Child Development, Kindergarten, and First Grade Students New to DD2 Elementary Schools for School Year 2010-2011  will be held Tuesday through Thursday, March 23, 24, 25 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Age Requirements:
4K/Child Development – 4 yrs. old on or before September 1, 2010
Kindergarten – 5 yrs. old on or before September 1, 2010
First Grade – 6 yrs. old on or before September 1, 2010
